PM approves leave, yet to decide on Rafizi, Nik Nazmi’s resignations

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has ruled out an immediate Cabinet reshuffle following the resignations of Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Natural Resources Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, who lost their PKR leadership posts. Anwar stated that government operations remain unaffected, with other ministers temporarily taking on the vacant roles. Rafizi’s resignation is effective June 17, 2025, after leave from May 28, while Nik Nazmi’s takes effect July 4, 2025, after leave from May 29. Anwar approved their leave requests and said further decisions will be announced later, ensuring continuity in government functions.
