KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim affirmed his commitment to govern without compromise after the High Court rejected his bid to refer eight legal questions to the Federal Court, including whether a sitting prime minister has immunity from lawsuits. The case stems from a civil suit by former aide Muhammed Yusoff Rawther over an alleged incident before Anwar’s premiership. Anwar clarified the application was not personal but intended to safeguard the constitutional integrity of high office. He stressed the legal process would continue. Court’s rejection do not deter Anwar.
