Subang MP Wong Chen, a three-term backbencher from PKR, announced a two-week family holiday in France to rest, bond with his children, and reflect on his political future. In a contemplative Facebook post, he expressed concern over the lack of institutional reforms under PKR president Anwar Ibrahim’s government, despite 15 years of effort to gain power. Wong believes MPs must push harder from the backbench to achieve more reforms. Recently, he aligned with former PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli during party elections, losing his seat on the central leadership council, while Rafizi was defeated by Nurul Izzah Anwar and offered his Cabinet resignation.
