An express bus carrying 28 passengers, including 20 Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) students, collided with a trailer on the East Coast Expressway 1 (LPT1) around 1am on June 10.
Another Bus Crash Rattles Students, No Injuries Reported
The crash occurred at KM161.5 while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan. According to police, the bus driver lost control and struck the trailer from behind. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The driver expressed remorse, admitting to a lapse in attention.
Passengers were transferred to a replacement bus and continued safely to Kuantan. The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
