The Transport Ministry will raise urgent safety concerns about the East-West Highway (JRTB) in a Cabinet meeting tomorrow following a tragic bus crash that killed 15 UPSI students. Minister Anthony Loke said the ministry is collaborating with other agencies to address roadblocks, poor road conditions, and inadequate lighting.

Solar street lights will be installed as an immediate measure, while other upgrades fall under the Ministry of Works. Investigations by police and the Road Transport Department are ongoing, including a review of GPS data and a safety audit of the bus operator. Loke will visit the crash site on Thursday.
