SHAH ALAM, June 10, 2025 – PAS vice-president Datuk Idris Ahmad claimed many UMNO leaders and grassroots members hope to collaborate with PAS to unite the Malay community. In a statement on Monday, he criticized UMNO’s Supreme Council member Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi, calling him arrogant and self-serving for opposing PAS and its president, Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang. Idris dismissed Puad’s claim that PAS members are fanatical, defending their loyalty as support for leadership benefiting Islam and the nation. He reminded Puad of PAS’s role during the 22-month opposition period, questioning his motives and past exit from PAS.
