SINGAPORE, June 10, 2025 – A 26-year-old man was sentenced to 28 days in jail on June 9 after pleading guilty to taking voyeuristic upskirt photos without consent. The incident occurred on November 1, 2024, at Tampines MRT station, where he snapped 14 images of a woman on an escalator, using his phone positioned on his knees. Another commuter spotted the act and alerted the victim, leading to a police report. Investigations uncovered over 100 similar photos of at least 10 other women, stored in a secure folder. The judge emphasized the need to deter such behavior.
