In lieu of PTPTN having 400,000 students not making payments, amassing a RM5 Billion debt has gotten social media users discussing with each other. An X user states that he was awarded with a first class degree, and he was supposed to receive a waiver for his student loan repayments, but he’s still waiting for the confirmation.

Another user states in order to waive the loan, the graduate needs to come to the branch and request for the waiver he/she was supposed to receive. It seems that some students who were eligible for the waiver may receive a payment notice.
Others state the graduate could send a repetitive email requesting the waiver every week consistently. Regardless, several users expressed their confusion regarding the matter.
