Lance Corporal Muhammad Alif Monjani, 27, pleaded not guilty at the Shah Alam High Court to the murder of 25-year-old university student Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah. She was reported missing on July 10, 2024, and her body was found five days later in an oil palm plantation in Hulu Bernam. 

Police Officer Pleads Not Guilty to Murder of Missing Student

The murder is alleged to have occurred between July 10 and July 15, 2024. Charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, Muhammad Alif faces the death penalty or up to 40 years’ imprisonment with at least 12 strokes of the cane if convicted. The next case mention is set for July 15.
