MCA has expressed dissatisfaction with BN Chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s vague stance on future political cooperation with the Madani government ahead of the 16th General Election (GE16).
MCA Hits Out at Zahid Over Unclear BN Strategy for GE16
MCA Vice President Tan Teik Cheng said Zahid failed to clearly address whether BN would align with the unity government or contest independently. Although Zahid assured that MCA would get seats and BN would retain its logo, Tan criticised the lack of clarity and absence of collective discussion on seat allocation.
Recent pressure from MCA grassroots, including a resolution from Alor Setar MCA, urged the party to withdraw from both BN and the Madani coalition.
