Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad reiterated his decision to resign as Natural Resources and Sustainability Minister, effective July 4, while pledging to support the new minister in advancing the National Climate Change Bill (RUU PIN), approved by Cabinet for Parliament. Speaking at the Kuala Lumpur Rangers jersey launch, Nik Nazmi, the team’s patron, responded to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s reported reluctance to accept his resignation. Anwar urged Nik Nazmi and Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli, who also resigned, to reconsider. Nik Nazmi expressed pride in the climate bill and readiness to assist his successor.
