A 28-year-old Malaysian man, Fazli, was sentenced to six weeks in jail by a Singapore court after attempting to touch the firearms of two auxiliary police officers at Woodlands Checkpoint. The incident occurred on May 6, when Fazli approached an officer at the bus bay, asked about the bullets in his pistol, and tried to touch the weapon.

The officer immediately secured the gun and called for backup. Upon the arrival of a second officer, Fazli again reached for the firearm. He was charged with using criminal force to obstruct public servants and pleaded guilty to one of the two charges.
