ISKANDAR PUTERI, June 19 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim assured that the government will not raise RON95 fuel prices despite a sharp rise in global oil markets. Speaking at a press conference after an event in Medini, Anwar emphasized the decision prioritizes the public’s welfare and national economy. Global oil prices could hit US$130 per barrel if Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for 20% of global oil shipments, amid tensions with Israel. Anwar noted the government’s commitment to shielding Malaysians from the impact of volatile oil prices.
