In lieu of the recent bus accidents in the country, there are several discussions among social media users regarding the issue. However, BFM News reported that some of these transport companies allegedly allow their drivers to have a 28-day work month due to a manpower shortage which shocked social media users. 

Some bus drivers work for 28-days due to lack of drivers

Netizens say back in the 1990s and early 2000s, some companies were particular on what drivers were driving for their company. Intrakota was mentioned as they had well trained and smart drivers working for them. 

Others state the irony as the lack of demand isn’t helping for a salary increase across the industry. However, some users add that the added costs may be passed on to the passengers in forms of price increases.
