JOHOR BARU, June 21, 2025 – A fire erupted at an oil storage facility in Taman Megah Ria at 12:30 PM, sending thick black smoke over 100 meters high. Fueled by intense heat and strong winds, the blaze prompted the evacuation of Jalan Kempas 7 residents, 50 meters away. Electricity was cut to prevent further risks. By 2:00 PM, small explosions and flying oil drums intensified the crisis. Johor Fire and Rescue Department crews are battling the flames. Authorities will provide updates once the situation stabilizes, urging residents to avoid the area.
