PETALING JAYA: Pejuang has called for a special committee to scrutinize high-profile cases, particularly those involving politicians granted conditional discharges, like former Prime Minister Najib Razak’s recent discharge not amounting to an acquittal in a RM27 million SRC International money laundering case. Party information chief Rafique Rashid Ali questioned the integrity of such decisions, criticizing the Attorney-General’s Chambers for delays and lack of transparency over 500 unobtained documents. He proposed an oversight body of legal experts and MPs to monitor the AGC, reporting to Parliament, to restore public trust in handling cases involving prominent figures.
