In a landmark decision, the Kuala Lumpur High Court ordered the transfer of a 9,723-square metre parcel of land to Umno, previously held by trustees Daim Zainuddin, Musa Hitam, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, and the late Sanusi Junid. Justice Roz Mawar Rozain approved the consent judgment after Umno and the Federal Territories Land Registrar agreed to resolve the dispute. The land, registered under Grant 78154, will be transferred within 30 days, aligning with Umno’s constitution and the Societies Act 1966. Despite a 2017 rejection due to name discrepancies, the court’s ruling ensures Umno’s rightful ownership.
