The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has completed its investigation into former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and will file a forfeiture application to seize RM170 million in cash within two weeks.

The cash, in various foreign currencies, along with 16kg of gold bars worth RM7 million, was seized during raids linked to a probe into corruption and money laundering during his tenure.
MACC Chief Tan Sri Azam Baki said the Attorney General’s Chambers has approved the forfeiture action, though no criminal charges have been filed yet. Investigations also involved Ismail’s ex-son-in-law and former senior officers.
