The Kota MADANI smart city project aims to help civil servants save up to RM1,000 monthly by cutting housing and transport costs, said Federal Territories Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa.

Government quarters under the scheme will cost just RM400 via salary deductions, with added benefits like proximity to schools, walkability, and enhanced safety. The project, which spans only 0.8% of Putrajaya, complements rather than replaces it.
Incorporating MADANI and CHASE principles, the RM4 billion initiative will add 10,000 housing units. Dr Zaliha stressed that the government is prioritising civil servants’ welfare, offering relief to those burdened by high rents and fuel costs.
