It appears that social media users are unsure if parking in front of one’s house can lead to a summons. However, it is against traffic laws, and it may lead to a summons not exceeding RM2,000. The problem of a neighbour blocking one’s entrance may be a thing of the past if this is enforced. 

Parking in front of your house can lead to summons? 

An X user states that this ruling was made in order to curb neighbors parking in front of other neighbors’ houses. It was apparently really bad until this law had to be created. X users state that they hope this law will be effective in stopping this massive inconvenience. 

Additionally, for landed houses, it seems there is a lack of parking spaces especially if a household has more than two cars. At times, trash collectors and school vans may have a difficult time passing through.
