On June 26, 2025, three Singaporeans—Quek Kien Seng, 45, Tristan Chew Jin Zhong, 25, and Ivan Tan Zhi Xuan, 31—alongside Malaysian Kong Sien Mee, 57, were charged in Kuala Lumpur’s Ampang Magistrate’s Court with trafficking 9,420.2ml of cocaine-laced e-vaporiser liquid. Arrested on June 19 in Selangor, they face the death penalty or life imprisonment with whipping under Malaysia’s Dangerous Drugs Act. The syndicate, busted with RM7.29 million worth of cocaine cartridges, operated from luxury condominiums. No pleas were recorded; the case, under High Court jurisdiction, is set for mention on September 8.
