Three Suspects Arrested in Cyberjaya Student Murder Case

PETALING JAYA, June 27, 2025 — Police arrested three suspects, aged 19 and 20, in Johor Bahru and Gemencheh between June 26 and 27 for the murder of Maniishapriet Kaur Akhara, a 20-year-old University of Cyberjaya student. Found dead in her condominium on June 24, Maniishapriet died from blunt force trauma to the head. The suspects, known to the victim, were apprehended within 48 hours. A male suspect allegedly used her debit card post-murder, and her laptop, phone, and cash are missing. Investigations continue under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
