Ex-Sabah Water Dept Director Says Most of RM20 Million Found in Office Pantry is ‘NOT mine’

PETALING JAYA, June 27, 2025 — Ag Mohd Tahir Ag Mohd Talib, a former Sabah water department director, told the Kota Kinabalu sessions court that only RM3 million of the RM20 million allegedly found by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission in his office pantry was his, with the rest belonging to someone else. Tahir, his wife Fauziah Piut, and former deputy director Lim Lam Beng face 37 money laundering charges involving RM61.57 million and luxury items from 2016. The trial, ongoing since 2019, resumes on July 23.
