PASIR MAS, June 28, 2025 – UMNO’s Secretary-General, Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, tickled funny bones at the Rantau Panjang UMNO Division Meeting, blaming the party’s past flops on internal squabbles and “cah keting” (backstabbing) antics. He quipped that UMNO didn’t lose power to mighty foes but tripped over its own drama—think 1990’s Semangat 46 split, 1998’s Anwar saga, and 2016’s Bersatu birth. Asyraf, with a wink, said UMNO’s “government blood” doesn’t suit opposition life. Urging unity, he stressed UMNO’s dominant role in the Unity Government, vowing no more “cah keting” chaos.
