A newborn baby boy, still alive, was discovered in a heartbreaking state inside a plastic bag by a roadside near Masjid Jamiul Huda, Kampung Api-Api, Bukit Rotan, Kuala Selangor, on Thursday night. Kuala Selangor Police Chief Superintendent Azaharudin Tajudin said the baby, found around 9:11 PM after a public tip-off via Sungai Buloh Hospital, weighed 2.135 kg, was full-term, and about a week old with the umbilical cord still attached. The infant is under medical care at Tanjong Karang Hospital. Police are investigating under Section 317 of the Penal Code for child abandonment.
