KUALA LUMPUR, June 28, 2025 – Former MCA vice president Ti Lian Ker has called for the party and its two MPs to “take leave” from the Madani administration, slamming president Wee Ka Siong’s call to delay decisions until the annual general meeting. Ti criticized the procrastination as a sign of weak leadership, urging MCA to distance itself from the government’s “unfriendly” policies while staying loyal to Barisan Nasional. “Why’s it so hard?” he quipped, suggesting a bold exit to show dissent. MCA faces internal rifts over its future alignment ahead of the next general election.
