JASIN: UMNO Jasin has firmly closed the door on seat-sharing negotiations with Pakatan Harapan (PH) for the 2026 Melaka State Election, insisting Barisan Nasional (BN) retains all 21 state seats it won previously. The resolution, passed unanimously by 630 delegates, emphasizes BN’s dominance after securing a three-quarter majority in the last election. UMNO Jasin’s Information Chief, Zulkifli Kalil, urged PH to respect the unity government’s spirit and avoid undermining Malay support. Melaka’s 28 state seats include five held by PH and two by Perikatan Nasional, with the assembly term ending in November 2026.
