Kevin Morais: Court of Appeal upheld the murder conviction of 6 now

The Federal Court will deliver its verdict tomorrow on the final appeal of six men sentenced to death for the 2015 murder of deputy public prosecutor Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais. The decision follows a hearing on May 14 by a three-judge panel led by Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat.

Final Verdict Pending in High-Profile Kevin Morais Murder Case

Convicted in 2020 and upheld on appeal, the accused include former military doctor Dr R. Kunaseegaran and five others. Morais went missing on September 4, 2015, and was later found murdered, his body encased in concrete inside a drum. The case has drawn national attention due to its brutality and victim’s status.
