PKR Youth has urged the government to announce a timeline for enacting a Political Funding Act to curb systemic corruption. Its legal bureau chief, Khairul Naim Rafidi, expressed confidence that the government is drafting a fair and enforceable law but stressed the need for a clear implementation timeline to prove its reform commitment. Sabah PKR Youth echoed the call, warning against further delays. Bersih chairperson Faisal Aziz also pressed Putrajaya to act urgently, citing its two-thirds parliamentary majority. This comes as Malaysiakini exposed more Sabah politicians involved in a mining licence corruption scandal, highlighting Malaysia’s continued struggle with political funding transparency.
