There are reports of a thief syndicate happening on board flights in Asia. Apparently, Malaysia is hit the worst. It is said they’re booking short flights for the sole purpose to steal from other passengers, which is a massive inconvenience for the passengers and airlines.

Netizens warn passengers of rising in-flight theft

Netizens add that it would be better to have your phones and wallets on you at all times while flying. Leaving them on the overhead compartments would probably not be the best idea as it has been a common occurrence for these things to be stolen onboard. 

Others state to not accept help from other passengers in terms of carrying their luggage as it could belong to a drug mule.
