The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has launched a preliminary investigation into alleged corruption and irregularities in the MyKiosk project tender process under the Housing and Local Government Ministry. This follows a complaint from a political party. MACC’s Governance Investigation Division is also conducting a parallel probe. The investigation focuses on potential corruption and tender process irregularities under the MACC Act 2009. The ministry submitted all relevant documents in May, affirming its commitment to transparency. Procurement for the MyKiosk project was conducted by 133 local authorities through open quotations.
