In Butterworth, near Jalan P. Patto, a massive tree crashed down at 8:45 AM, smashing a Volvo trailer truck and a Toyota Vios. Miraculously, the local lorry driver and the woman driving the Vios escaped unscathed. The Penang Fire and Rescue Department sprang into action after a distress call, deploying a team from Butterworth Station. Firefighters, wielding chainsaws, worked alongside the Seberang Perai City Council and police to clear the debris. The chaotic scene was swiftly managed, ensuring no injuries and restoring order to the road, leaving both drivers shaken but grateful for their safety.
