Apparently, there’s a saying floating around social media claiming that eating cheese before bed might give you nightmares. Furthermore, some social media users agree with this, claiming that there are certain gases released during one’s sleep, especially if they’re lactose intolerant.
Will eating cheese before bed give you nightmares?
However, those who are living in Europe say they’re bed is made of cheese and they’re fine despite eating it regularly.
Others say that some Malaysians will have nightmares in lieu of this as processed cheese lovers are on the rise here. Here in Malaysia, we tend to add a lot of cheese to existing meals to give it an extra kick.
Regardless, a study done by the British Cheese Board 11 years ago claims that this is a myth. The results showed 67% of the participants remembered their dreams, but none remembered having a nightmare. But, according to other sources, more studies are needed to fully conclude this claim.
