A drug syndicate operating from rented luxury apartments in Johor was busted by police on June 25. The group had turned three apartments into a drug lab and karaoke entertainment hub, where clients could party and buy drugs like syabu, ecstasy, and ketamine.

Authorities seized RM1.72 million worth of drugs, along with cash, vehicles, and jewellery worth RM190,205. Nine individuals—locals and foreigners from Singapore, Vietnam, and Laos—were arrested. All tested positive for meth, with four having prior criminal records.
The syndicate had been under surveillance since early 2025. Investigations are ongoing under the Dangerous Drugs Act and other laws.
