PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar has dismissed claims that her silence on Indian Malaysian community issues indicates inaction, saying she prefers quiet work focused on tangible outcomes. “Some say I’m too quiet… But being silent doesn’t mean doing nothing. I believe in substance before theatrics,” she said, commenting on initiatives under the 13th Malaysia Plan. Nurul Izzah shared her experience collaborating with former Klang MP Charles Santiago, economists, NGOs, and officials to draft transformative solutions addressing poverty, statelessness, school dropouts, and domestic violence among Indian Malaysians. She stressed the effort aims for justice for all, not merely winning votes.
