SUBANG JAYA: PKR vice-president R Ramanan has warned party members not to abuse their freedom of speech by spreading slander or baseless accusations. He said while PKR upholds free speech as a strength, it must be exercised ethically and responsibly. “Everyone has the right to speak, but when freedom is misused to slander, that freedom is lost,” he said. His comments follow several PKR MPs calling for a Royal Commission of Inquiry into alleged judicial appointment issues. Ramanan emphasised that criticism should be based on facts and discipline.
