PAS has demanded that Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli join its upcoming rally against Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim before it backs his proposal for a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into delays in judicial appointments. PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said Rafizi’s presence at the July 26 rally would prove his sincerity in wanting an independent investigation. Rafizi, however, dismissed PAS’s condition as political opportunism, stating that nine PKR MPs, including himself, have formally urged all MPs to support the RCI. He urged PAS not to repeat its 1MDB “mistake” of prematurely endorsing those accused without due scrutiny.
