Perikatan Nasional (PN) will intensify pressure on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim by holding rallies demanding his resignation over alleged judicial interference and rising living costs. Opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin maintained that Anwar should take leave to avoid conflict of interest, as he is involved in several civil lawsuits, including a sexual harassment case filed by former aide Yusoff Rawther. Hamzah said appointing an interim prime minister would ensure judicial appointments remain free from prejudice. PN’s rallies will add to mounting public pressure, including calls by PKR lawmakers and the Malaysian Bar for a Royal Commission of Inquiry into judicial appointment controversies.
