Former PKR Deputy President Rafizi Ramli launched an online petition to defend the independence of Malaysia’s judiciary, following allegations of interference in the appointment of judges.

Rafizi: Democracy at Risk Without Independent Judiciary

The petition calls for the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) and an investigation by the Parliamentary Special Select Committee. Concerns raised include delayed appointments, ignored nominations, JAC meetings held without proper notice, and alleged attempts to influence case decisions.

Rafizi warned that such issues threaten the separation of powers and judicial credibility. The petition urges all Malaysians to support this cause to uphold justice and democratic principles.
