#malaysia is a very rich country and the policies of the past have produced billionaires and they did not depend on FDI entirely.
To say it’s a poor country thus it needs FDI, is incorrect. This country survived the Asian currency manipulation, the reformasi movement and its disruptions for years, it came out stronger after #COVID19 amd is now going strong – as Rafizi Ramli himself stated in the podcast.

However I would understand why Rafizi said it’s a poor nation in need of FDI. It’s part of the sarcasm perhaps given that Dr Mahathir have congratulated Anwar Ibrahim as the bapa FDI ![]()
