The organiser of the controversial eHati marriage motivation programme is allegedly linked to an opposition party leader, with social media posts revealing that one of the person’s sister is a party leader and her brother-in-law is an MP. The Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) confirmed it had advised eHati’s organisers back in 2022 following complaints from former participants about inappropriate content in its modules. JAIS director Datuk Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad said those involved were summoned and counselled on matters deemed unsuitable for inclusion in such programmes.
