BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has urged those demanding Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s resignation to respect the democratic process, highlighting Anwar’s support from 154 MPs. His remarks follow threats from the Defend the Judiciary Secretariat to take legal action if Anwar does not step down over alleged conflicts of interest in judicial appointments. Zahid said Anwar had clarified these issues with BN MPs and dismissed the need for a royal commission of inquiry. This comes as leaked Judicial Appointments Commission minutes intensify scrutiny. The Malaysian Bar will march tomorrow to demand an RCI and release of the meeting minutes.
