PETALING JAYA – DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook has brushed off MCA’s accusation that his party betrayed Chinese voters after the 2022 general election. “I couldn’t be bothered with MCA,” Loke said, adding that only voters, not MCA, would evaluate DAP’s performance. The spat began when MCA Youth’s Neow Choo Seong claimed DAP failed to defend Chinese interests. DAP vice-chairman Syahredzan Johan called the accusation baseless, urging MCA to regain public support. In response, MCA vice-president Tan Teik Cheng labelled Syahredzan arrogant, accusing DAP of neglecting the community after relying on Chinese votes to secure electoral victories.
