Tuaran PKR chief Razeef Rakimin criticised calls by several Johor PKR divisions to suspend nine MPs who demanded a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) into judicial appointments, saying such moves undermine the party’s reformist agenda. He warned that silencing differing opinions is regressive and contradicts PKR’s founding principles. Nineteen divisions recently urged the suspension of Rafizi Ramli and eight others, accusing them of breaching party discipline and tarnishing the prime minister’s image. However, Razeef said PKR must remain open to criticism. Previously, Saifuddin Nasution Ismail also supported internal discourse as a sign of healthy democracy within PKR.
