KUALA LUMPUR – A 36-year-old Malaysian tour agent was arrested at a Sepang restaurant today for allegedly assaulting and threatening a Malaysian couple in Japan last January. Sepang police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman said the suspect, known to the victims through separate tour agencies, was unhappy over tourist management issues in Japan. Victim Noornabilla Azemi, 36, claimed her head was smashed against a bed frame and she was threatened with death in front of her husband during the incident in Tokyo. The suspect allegedly seized ¥75,000 (RM2,300) from them. The case is investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
