Apparently, MPAJ has offered RM3 for every mouse collected in Ampang in lieu of the heavy population of rats here. However, it seems that social media users are saying that they should catch them from other districts and claim them from their area for more cash.

There are those who suggested an “infinite” cash loophole is to breed them and sell them to MPAJ. Some feel this is not the best solution when it comes to the population control of these animals, and there are better ways to mitigate the situation.
Others cited the times other countries/cities from the United Kingdom to India tried to do the same methods in keeping down invasive animals. But, it unfortunately did not work as it intended to.
