Former PKR Sarawak member Voon Shiak Ni says Premier Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg should be considered as Malaysia’s next Prime Minister. She criticised peninsula leaders for ignoring capable East Malaysian figures, calling it “intellectually lazy” and harmful to national unity. Praising Abang Johari’s technocratic and pragmatic leadership since 2017, Voon said Sarawak’s political stability and development under him prove his statesmanship. She urged Malaysians to choose leaders based on merit rather than geography or party loyalty, arguing that Abang Johari’s transparent and visionary governance could inspire Malaysia as it tackles complex domestic and international challenges.
