PAS-owned daily Harakah hailed tonight’s “Himpunan Mandat Negarawan” rally in Alor Setar as a potentially historic moment, uniting former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, and Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin. Mahathir, who turned 100 last week, is expected to speak alongside Muhyiddin and Hadi, joined by opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin and Kedah Menteri Besar Sanusi Nor. Attendees were urged to wear black as a symbol of unity. Harakah described the rally as more than speeches, calling it the start of a “great awakening” towards a more just, dignified, and sovereign Malaysia.
