Umno Leaders, royal addendum — New Pressure Mounts: Umno Leaders Wants Zahid To Meet Anwar Najib’s House Arrest Order

Umno leaders urged president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to meet Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to discuss implementing the royal addendum allowing Najib Razak to serve his sentence under house arrest. The call was made by Wangsa Maju Umno chief Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Shafei Abdullah on behalf of 160 division leaders during a special meeting in Kuala Lumpur. Shafei said the gathering aimed to strengthen support for former presidents and ensure the addendum is enforced swiftly. The Pahang palace confirmed the document’s existence in January, and the Court of Appeal deemed it valid on January 6 this year.
