Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that all new housing projects must include essential facilities such as schools, preschools, and nurseries to ensure the well-being of residents. Speaking at the launch of the SkyWorld Pearlmont Rumah Bakat Madani project in Butterworth, he emphasised that the government will not approve housing developments lacking these basic needs.
He noted that integrated planning saves transportation costs and improves safety for families. Anwar also mentioned the possibility of building vertical schools in areas with limited land. The Rumah Bakat Madani project was praised for including a central park and vertical school and for using prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction (PPVC) technology.
